Armed robbery, North Rockhampton

Detectives are appealing for public assistance to identify a man involved in an armed robbery at Park Avenue last night.

Just after 8:30pm, a man entered a supermarket on Main Street armed with a screwdriver.

The man demanded money from the three staff members. The two women and man were able to escape to the rear of the store.

He jumped the counter of the store and stole a sum of money before running from the store in an unknown direction.

No one was physically injured.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance and approximately 180cm tall. He was wearing long black pants, a black short sleeve short and a black balaclava.

Investigators are urging anyone with information that could identify the man to come forward.
