Update 1: House fire and weapons offences, Sunnybank

Detectives investigating a suspicious fire at Sunnybank and weapons offences at Brendale and Mount Gravatt, have released vision and images of a 27-year-old man wanted in relation to the incidents.

Emergency services were called at approximately 9.15pm on Thursday April 6  to Lister Street at Sunnybank, following reports a property was on fire.

Police will allege Mitchell Wilson (pictured) attended the address with a firearm, threatening a resident known to him, before setting the dwelling on fire and leaving the scene.

The house was destroyed, and no one was physically injured.

Detectives and have released vision of an incident where a firearm was discharged earlier that afternoon, at approximately 2.45pm, on South Pine Road at Brendale.

Police will allege Mr Wilson was involved in a verbal altercation with a man known to him, discharging a firearm several times towards the ground near the man.

No one was physically injured.

Later that night, at approximately 8.55pm, Mitchell Wilson allegedly used the same firearm to threaten two women known to him on Logan Road at Mount Gravatt, before discharging the firearm.

The women have run and hidden, and were not physically injured.

Extensive searches and investigations have so far failed to locate Mr Wilson and investigators are appealing for him or anyone with further information to contact police.

Mitchell Wilson (pictured) is described as being Caucasian in appearance, approximately 185cm tall with a solid build, light brown hair and hazel eyes. 

Mr Wilson is believed to be armed and should not be approached. 

Anyone who sees him is urged not to approach him and to contact Triple Zero (000) immediately.  

Investigations are ongoing.
