A 26-year-old Mackenzie man has been charged with murder in relation to the death of a man at Corinda on Tuesday, October 4.
At approximately 3.25am, police were called to a Cliveden Avenue address where the body of a 38-year-old Inala man was located.
Initial investigations indicate an altercation occurred between the man and a group of people at the residence, before he was fatally shot to the chest.
Detectives from the Acacia Ridge Criminal Investigation Branch and Homicide Unit launched Operation Uniform Fortune, with investigations leading police to take a 26-year-old man into custody at a Vermeer Close residence at Mackenzie on Thursday, October 6.
He has subsequently been charged with one count each of murder and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He is expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court today (October 10).
Investigations are ongoing.
