Wounding, Moorooka

A 20-year-old man has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, following an alleged wounding incident at Moorooka last night (Friday May 20).

It is alleged an altercation occurred between a group of people at approximately 8.30pm at a Lyon Street unit complex, when a 33-year-old Moorooka man was stabbed in the throat and abdomen with a knife.

Police rendered first aid on scene before the 33-year-old was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.

The 20-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene.

He is expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court today (Saturday May 21).
