Update 1: Serious assault, Logan Reserve – request for dash cam vision

Update 1 3.50pm January 22:

Police now believe the incident occurred between 6.30pm and 8pm.

Detectives are requesting anyone with information or dash cam footage from around the Glen Road, Reuben Blvd area at Logan Reserve between these times to contact police.

Issued January 21:

Police are investigating a serious assault incident which occurred in Logan yesterday evening (January 20).

Between 6 and 7pm at Logan reserve, a group became involved in a physical altercation which resulted in a 17-year-old boy receiving wounds to the back of his head.

He self-presented at the Logan Hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers are investigating whether boy may have been struck by fragments from a shotgun, fired from a passing vehicle.

Two 18-year-old men the boy was with at the time, did not require medical treatment.

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area at the time is urged to contact police.
