Missing man, Cleveland

UPDATE – Saturday March 20 at 2.20pm:

A land search continues in the Cleveland area for missing man Anthony Roper, 69.

Police, SES and Polair are searching areas in Cleveland where Anthony was last seen yesterday afternoon.

Residents and business owners are urged to check their properties, yards and sheds.

Any information please call police immediately.

Yesterday ….

Police are appealing for urgent assistance to locate a 69-year-old man reported missing from Cleveland.

Anthony Roper was last seen walking on Princess Street towards Fitzroy Street at 5pm today.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare, as he suffers from a medical condition and may be disorientated.

Anthony is described as Caucasian, around 180cm tall, of a large build with blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing jeans, a white polo shirt with brown horizontal stripes and carrying a blue backpack.

Police are currently patrolling around the immediate area with Polair assisting with the search.

Anyone who has seen Anthony or has further information is urged to contact police.
