Building fire, Surfers Paradise

Police are investigating a suspicious fire at a Surfers Paradise unit complex early this morning, July 16.

At 12.45am emergency services responded to a fire at Main Beach Parade on the 10th floor of the building.

A number of residents were treated for smoke inhalation and no one was unaccounted for.

A man in his 40’s was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone with relevant information.

A crime scene has been declared and investigations are continuing.
